A Track Record of Success
Drane lead one of the most significant rural economic development turn-arounds in Western Kentucky during his seven-year tenure as President of Graves County Economic Development. Under his leadership, the organization partnered on 40 projects that created more than 1,900 full-time jobs in Graves County with a capital investment exceeding $300 million. Drane's focus on supporting existing businesses led to several notable expansions, and also served as a powerful recruitment tool for businesses seeking to relocate.
In 2019, Graves County was named the top micropolitan (population less than 50,000) in Kentucky and number four in the United States for economic growth by Site Selection Magazine. Graves County has also been among the top 20 top micropolitans nationwide for three of the past four years.
